draw the line
It was a beautiful morning when I had my promotion test in taekwondo five days ago. I was confident to do the kicks, self defenses and foundation forms perfectly that's why I kind of felt I was going to jump to high Yellow. But something happened...a few kicks before the promo ends, my sister murmured that I had red stain on my do buk. So what happened was I stopped kicking and kept mumbling to my mom who's like 10 feet far from me if the stain is visible or not. Of course Sir Kio noticed what I did and that was a big deduction to my score! At the end of my promo, it turns out I just sat on the mat with puddles of filthy water. Geez, my sister is such a nuisance at times and I hate her for that. Yesterday was the awarding of my belt and finally after a month of hardwork, I'm now a Yellow belter..! :D
It was fine with me not to jump in high Yellow..I'll just train more and hopefully jump a belt someday. Oh yeah..I didn't know that before we can wear our belt, our instructor need to slap our butts with it while doing a knuckle push up position..! haha
It didn't hurt but watching it do to other students was a bit scary..
So after awarding us our belts, we practiced some drills again and for the first time, we did a real sparring. I only had body and head gears on provided by Sir Kio because I don't have my own armors yet. I had sparring with Brit, kuya Eijhay, my sister, and the most challenging of all..Sir Kio..!! I was so scared because he might hit me hard..! Since it was my first time to deal with him, he gave way. But still, their moves are real. I think I might even have bruises on my left arm tomorrow when I wake up because that's where they hit me most. It was fun to end this day though a bit tiring. I didn't know I would enjoy taekwondo this much. :)
"i hope it's something worth the waiting...a time regardless of our distance and our hope.." c:
